On Monday, Kaduna State Governor Senator Uba Sani wished Christians a Merry Christmas and urged Nigerian politicians to reject corruption, greed, and the mistreatment of the underprivileged.

In his Christmas speech, the governor exhorted Christians to embrace the season’s lessons of compassion, peace, and goodwill toward all people, regardless of differences, and to utilize this time for serious thought.

In addition, he added that the state and federal governments were collaborating to lessen the state’s insecurity problems.

The governor insisted that his administration will make every effort to mend the scars of the past through Mohammed Lawal-Shehu, his chief press secretary.

The governor claims that since taking office on May 29, 2023, the current administration has been putting forth great effort to provide the people of the state with good governance and the advantages of democracy.

“Merry Christmas to our Christian brothers and sisters,” the governor wished. I hope this Christmas season and always bring you the love, joy, and serenity that this holiday signifies. I rejoice and bless you with the news of Jesus Christ’s birth.

Let’s honor his legacy of justice, love, forgiveness, peace, compassion, and support for the oppressed as you consider his amazing life. I implore you to follow Jesus’ teachings and to turn away from vices that make life more difficult, such as greed, corruption, oppression of the underprivileged, and oppression.

“Before the 2023 General Elections, I fervently pleaded with the wonderful people of Kaduna State to grant me their mandate in my Christmas message.

“I pledged to promote Kaduna State. You put your faith in me and gave me the order to elevate our beloved state. Our administration has been working nonstop to provide good governance and the advantages of democracy since I took office on May 29, 2023. The state is collaborating with the Federal Government to lessen the difficulties caused by insecurity.

Remember that hope and healing are the two most significant Christmas miracles. As an administration, we will stop at nothing to mend the scars from the past and revive our hopes for a fresh start in the next year. Hold onto hope.

The governor praised Christian leaders in the state for their unwavering support of all state government policies and programs, even as he urged the populace to embrace the virtues of the season.
