The prisoners who fled Kuje jail during the terrorist attack earlier this morning have reportedly been apprehended, according to the latest news.
In an apparent attempt to obtain access to the institution and release some of its members from the Kuje Medium Custodial Center in Abuja, the nation’s capital, the terrorists reportedly planted bombs, according to Vanguard News.
After gunmen believed to be Ansaru terrorists stormed the institution on Tuesday night with bombs and heavy gunfire, hundreds of prisoners managed to escape, according to Vanguard.
In a recent development, the Nigerian Correctional Services, NCS, has been successful in rounding up a number of prisoners who fled following a terror attack on Kuje Prison.

The Defense Minister, Bashir Magashi, told the media that during the attack, all the Boko Haram detainees escaped. Also, the Minister said the att@ck started around 10:30 pm with heavy gunfire and explosion.
It is reported that over 879 inmates escaped while over 443 inmates have been recaptured. According to reports, the VVIPs including Abba Kyari, are in custody as none of them escaped.
The Nigerian correctional service is still investigating and looking for the other inmates on the run.
