When asked about the severity of the injury, Klopp assured reporters, “No, no. Ibou has a chance for United. A good chance. We need the players back. All the stories we created with the kids and stuff are wonderful, wonderful, I couldn’t be happier about that, but of course, we fight for the biggest prize in football.”

Liverpool is set to face Sparta in the second leg of their last-16 tie on Thursday. With a convincing lead from the first leg, Klopp may consider resting several players. Additionally, there are hopes for the return of injured players like Trent Alexander-Arnold, Curtis Jones, Ryan Gravenberch, and Stefan Bajcetic after the March international break. However, Diogo Jota and Alisson are expected to return in April, while Joel Matip’s season has concluded.
