Despite defeating Atalanta 1-0 on Thursday, Liverpool’s efforts fell short of overturning the 3-0 deficit from the first leg, resulting in their elimination from the quarter-finals of the competition.

With their FA Cup journey also cut short by Manchester United, Klopp emphasized that the Premier League remains the sole opportunity for silverware after clinching the Carabao Cup. He urged his players to give their all in pursuit of the league title.

“We won the game, which was the reaction we aimed for,” Klopp told TNT Sports. “Although it was challenging, with Atalanta deserving to advance, we can now shift our focus to the league. That’s our priority moving forward.

“While there’s disappointment over our Europa League exit, I’m pleased with many aspects of our performance. It’s time to close this chapter and concentrate on the league. We’ll throw everything we have into it.”

Despite the setback, Klopp found solace in Liverpool’s return to winning ways after a string of three winless matches.

“The results tonight and previously didn’t define our effort; it was our home leg that proved decisive,” he remarked. “However, I was impressed by the team’s commitment and determination throughout the game.

“We’re back on the winning track now, and we must swiftly prepare for the upcoming match against Fulham. Recovery is crucial, especially considering the demanding schedule ahead.”
