According to The Guardian, the 61-year-old has expressed interest in a Premier League return and has made inquiries through intermediaries regarding the Newcastle position, seeing it as his best chance to re-enter English football.

Eddie Howe, who guided Newcastle to a Champions League spot for the first time in over two decades, has faced challenges with injuries but remains largely unpressured. Despite a tough 2023/24 campaign, Newcastle’s recent win over Arsenal has lifted them to 11th in the Premier League standings. They will face in-form Nottingham Forest on Sunday.
