Jide Kosoko was born on the 12th of January 1954 to a royal family in the Lagos Island part of Lagos state, which is why he is known as Prince Jide Kosoko. There are no facts about his parents or siblings, however.

The renowned actor, who was born in Nigeria and is 67 years old in 2021, had an exciting childhood in Ebutte Meta.


Prince Jide Kosoko earned an HND in Business Administration from Yaba College of Education in Yaba, but at the age of 60, the Nollywood actor attended Olabisi Onabanjo University in Ago Iwoye, Ogun State, and earned a degree in Performing Arts.


Jide Kosoko has been acting since he was a toddler and is one of the few performers that began as child actors. Jide Kosoko acted in Makanjuola, a theater drama produced by Ifelodun Traveling Theatre Group, when he was ten years old in 1964.
