Jadon Sancho’s assist for Nicolas Jackson’s opening goal in Chelsea’s 3-0 victory over West Ham marked the first time the winger has created goals in consecutive Premier League matches.

Sancho joined Chelsea on an initial loan deal this summer and quickly won over fans with a standout performance against Bournemouth, where he assisted Christopher Nkunku’s decisive goal. He followed that with another strong display against West Ham.

With two assists in two games, Sancho is starting to show the form that led Manchester United to pay £73 million for him in 2021.

After a challenging time at Old Trafford, Sancho’s struggles are starkly contrasted by his impressive start at Chelsea. Not only has he achieved back-to-back assists for the first time in his Premier League career, but he has also recorded more assists for Chelsea than in his last 12 appearances for United.

During his 83 games at United, Sancho managed just six assists but is already a third of the way to matching that total in just two matches with Chelsea. His best Premier League season saw him provide three assists.

Chelsea’s agreement for Sancho includes an obligation to make the move permanent next summer, with the fee expected to range between £20 million and £25 million, depending on the club’s final league position.
