While Sancho’s loan agreement doesn’t involve a permanent transfer clause, indicating his return to Old Trafford in the summer, BILD reports that he has already communicated his lack of desire to return.

Sancho allegedly attributes his career’s stalling to Ten Hag’s decisions and has no intention of working under the Dutch manager again. It remains unclear whether he would consider a return under a new manager, but the prevailing sentiment is that Sancho’s current focus lies on continuing with Dortmund.

The predicament for Sancho is that Dortmund currently cannot afford a permanent signing, and while they are eager to secure him on a renewed loan deal, covering a significant portion of his considerable wages poses a challenge.

Dortmund officials plan to negotiate another loan deal for Sancho, but they might explore a permanent transfer if United expresses interest in a swap deal. Forward Donyell Malen, available for £43 million this summer, is mentioned as a potential component in Dortmund’s pursuit of Sancho.

Sancho, who initially struggled upon his return to Dortmund, scored his first goal of the season in the recent 2-1 victory over Werder Bremen. Club officials acknowledged that he is still working to regain full fitness after spending an extended period on the sidelines at United.
