Wumi Toriola, a well-known Yoruba film actress, officially announced her divorce from her ex-husband on Instagram. She used her Instagram account to share the post in which she confirmed that her marriage to her ex-husband is indeed finished, noting that it has been more than a year since their divorce.
She admitted that there has recently been a lot of media coverage on her marriage and that she has chosen to keep it private from her fans since she does not want any internet drama. She said the claim that she had been aggressive with her ex-husband and his mother was an obvious falsehood made up by her ex-husband and that is why she decided to explain everything to her admirers.
She claimed the following in a statement on her Instagram page: “Recently, I’ve received a lot of media coverage surrounding my marriage. It is accurate to say that the marriage is over; we have been living separately for more than a year. I didn’t tell my fans because it didn’t work out and there was no need for drama.”

The actress’s decision to share the post is aimed at letting her fans realise that she is no more in a relationship with her ex-husband and to clear off her name from the lies people that has been going round about her.
