Bukunmi Oluwashina took to Instagram to ask her fans and followers who they would call if God offered them the chance to speak with someone they had lost contact with.

The actress expressed her longing for her father, recalling how she couldn’t keep their happy memories alive by having a photograph of them together, instead spending the most of her time creating poems and songs that he never read or listened to.

Bukunmi Oluwashina claimed she adores her father but has never told him since she didn’t realize how much he loved him till he died.

The young actress encouraged her fans and followers to make lovely moments with their loved ones, take photos, and make others happy.

It still stings to this day, she wrote. I realized I didn’t have any pictures of simply you and me together. Even if it’s only a shaky selfie, it’s a start. However, it was too late. I was always penning poems about you, which I never gave you the opportunity to read.

I never had time to sing the songs I wrote. You wouldn’t even wait to see the scripts I’m writing. Always busy taking pictures of our lives as a family, a life you wouldn’t wait a lifetime to experience.

You were the person I adored the most in the entire universe. It’s funny how I’ve never told you, “I LOVE YOU,” or said those three words to you. In words, no. Neither in writing nor in correspondence. Because I didn’t realize how much I loved you until you left.

I’d take a selfie right now if I had a minute. I’ll read you a few lines from those poems, show you a few moments from one of my favorite movies, and perhaps sing you a little verse from one of my songs. Is a minute even long enough?

I’d like to do a lot of things with you. Do it for yourself. I have a few things I’d want to express to you. But they’re all just wishes now. Wishes that will never be fulfilled. Dad, keep sleeping.

REMEMBER: Life may not be the kind of party we all planned for, but we should dance while we’re still here…, while the music is still playing. Why do you think that is? Everything hinges on the passage of time. Because no party can last indefinitely. Take images and make great memories with people. Instead of making people cry, make them joyful.

Allow others to remember you and smile instead of frowning. Make time for the individuals you care about. Do they despise you? They’re fantastic. Do they adore you? Take good care of them. Feel at ease in the presence of others who adore you, rather than intimidated. Love is God. And love is too enormous to be limited to just one individual. Unless your name is money, no one can adore you.

Forget about those who don’t. Concentrate on the handful who do. Let us all live in peace. Let’s love each other. Unconditional love, sincere care, slow kisses, uncontrollable laughter, profound thought, fast forgiveness… And keep in mind everything that made you happy. Because life is a trap. And none of us are going to make it out alive. TEXT SOMEONE YOU CARE ABOUT this morning. Also, say “I LOVE YOU” to them.
