Six people have been officially confirmed dead in a traffic accident that happened on Friday morning in Jekadefari in Gombe city, according to the Federal traffic Safety Corps and Gombe State Sector Command.
The disaster was confirmed by Mr. Felix Theman, the state Sector Commander of the FRSC, in a Friday interview with the News Agency of Nigeria in Gombe.
Theman continued, saying that 16 people were hurt in the one incident, which happened when the driver of the trailer lost control and crashed into a ditch.

The accident that occured this morning included a single trailer transporting 27 cows, and it happened on Jekadefari’s Abacha Road. While the injured were transferred to a hospital for treatment, the dead had been taken to a mortuary in Gombe, he said.
Theman pointed out that the trailer driver was using a road that was not intended for trailers and mentioned that heavy-duty vehicles were not allowed to go on the road.
