During an interactive session on Instagram, a fan asked Wathoni if she had ever considered acting as a career because she is so attractive.

Wathoni responded by saying she has attempted acting numerous times, but it is terrible because in this area of the world, an actress’s body is what helps her.

She wrote: I have, and I have done so many times… Unfortunately, in this part of the world, your body is what helps you in that industry.”

Some social media users reacted angrily to her statement, claiming that her viewpoint denigrates Nollywood actresses who have worked hard to achieve success.

Ani Amatosero, a seasoned Nollywood actress and filmmaker, put Wathoni in one of her films on one occasion, but the BBN star couldn’t carry out her lines effectively.

Amatosero allegedly threatened to beat up Wathoni if they had a physical encounter, claiming that they are the same size.

“Wathoni Ayansi (if u like block me I would add ur complete names because I can’t tag you) e be like say you dey mad,” Amatosero wrote beside a photo of Wathoni. You’re joking, right? I can’t believe some of the actors haven’t responded to her. I just finished reading your post. I’m not sure what you’re talking about. Who slept with you on the set before you obtained the role in the movie you came to Asaba to shoot, at least I met you at my film house? Is it true that you dey wine me ni? Also, consider the type of photo you display on your wall. What’s the difference between your post and the image of actors you have in your mind? What kind of first impression do you provide new actresses? Or ladies who are serious about pursuing this as a career? You’re the one who couldn’t carry a line, na bi?

You, who couldn’t carry a line, what do your big brothers do for nollywood? Who is this mysterious sef? Waa If you respond, I’m confident that I’ll be able to overcome you, because neither me nor you are kuku tall.”
