Deji Adeyanju, a well-known socio-political activist, has suggested that things could grow worse for nightclub owner Obi Cubana if the FBI gets involved in his case.
In response to Cubana’s detention by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Adeyanju declared this.

The protester claimed that being questioned by the EFCC was preferable to being detained by the FBI.
In a series of tweets, the convener of Concerned Nigerians questioned why Cubana was detained when Bola Tinubu and the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abba Kyari, were not.
“EFCC can arrest Obi Cubana, but Abba Kyari is free,” he added. Tinubu, the Bullion Van King, is now free in Nigeria’s Wonderful One.
Some people thought I was jealous of Obi Cubana when I advised him to be careful. It’s still preferable to get arrested by the EFCC rather than the FBI.
He should be happy that it’s the EFCC. Obi, take a deep breath and relax. For the time being, it isn’t serious, but it could go worse.”
Cubana had been detained and interviewed by the anti-graft agency on suspicion of money laundering.
