Popular Nollywood actor Lege Miami has chastised those who accused the police of being fake.
In an online video, Lege—who is well-known for his controversial opinions—stated that the Nigerian police force is making a lot of effort to preserve lives.
The so-called “Friend of the President’s Son” highlighted the role that law enforcement plays in maintaining peace in the country.
The actor said, looking back on the 2020 ENDSARS events, that a lack of police presence resulted in a number of horrible incidents.
Lege Miami, nonetheless, consented to serve as the ambassador of the Nigerian police force.
In his words, “All of you abusing police are sick, don’t you know that the police are contributed to the peace of this country. During the ENDSARS, many things happened like stealing, fighting happened because the police went on two weeks strike…… Police, continue your good work, you can use me as your ambassador”.
