In a recent statement, veteran Nigerian rapper Eedris Abdulkareem said he was taken aback when his wife offered to give her kidney to him.
Eedris Abdulkareem revealed this in an interview with Entertainment Splash for the program, saying that his renal problems began seven years ago.
The rapper’s wife, Yetunde Sekinat Abdulkareem, decided to donate a kidney to save her ill husband.

After his successful surgery, Eedris recorded a song to express his gratitude to his wife for her love and support.
Eeedris stated, “About seven years ago, I started feeling like something was wrong with my right kidney,” in a conversation with TVC Entertainment Splash (E Splash). I chose to visit the hospital since I am constantly in agony. The doctor warned me that my kidney is quite fragile and that I should exercise caution,” he stated.
“About two years ago, I realized the discomfort gets worse. I was diagnosed with a stage four kidney condition at the hospital after we arrived. He advised me to begin dialysis as the only option.
He advised me to try the first and second, but if those don’t work, a transplant is the best course of action. My wife suggested that we visit Dr. Bamgboye after she spoke to a friend of hers who had undergone a transplant.
“We made a reservation and visited St. Nicholas Hospital. The doctor performed checkups. He stated that I needed to bring a donor who had to be a family member and who had to be at least 18 and 65years old.
“When my wife there enquired about becoming a donor for me, the doctor said, “Yes, if you’re compatible. The doctor mentioned several tests when the patient questioned how she could know that. Can we do it now, she asked? I felt stunned.
“We never talked about it. She passed both the initial and follow-up examinations. We could complete up to 15. On the previous one, the doctor informed me that they observed anything in her that would make her unsuitable while I was lying on my dialysis bed.
“She took the fifteenth test, and the doctor saw the professor with the results. The physician declared that nothing was wrong and added that certain growths that appear inside the human body may not necessarily be cancerous.
