Ayefele’s reaction, according to Vanguard, was in response to a purported Tik Tok video that was widely shared on Tuesday and claimed he had passed away.

It was discovered that the soundtrack for the widely seen movie, which was allegedly the creation of one David and contained pictures of him and his triplets, was Tope Alabi’s dirge.

In response to the allegation, Ayefele said he received numerous calls yesterday from friends and family members inquiring how he was doing.

In an interview with the Nigerian Tribune on Tuesday night, the musician affirmed both his existence and his state of good health. He also questioned the motivation behind making a film to disseminate untrue information regarding his passing.

He asserts that he will live to reveal the majesty of God rather than dying.

He declared, “I won’t pass away; I’ll live to proclaim the deeds of God. God will punish those responsible for this heinous deed because He knows who they are. What do they stand to gain if they propagate lies about my demise?

This evening, I co-hosted Let’s Talk about It on Fresh FM in Ibadan with Enitan Olusegun Bamidele (EOB). As I was on the show, my phone continued ringing, and Whatsapp messages were also being jammed by my phone.

“Many of my supporters and lovers from around the world were calling to ask what actually transpired. They began cursing those responsible when they realized it was false information.

“I want to let Nigerians know that I’m still alive and well. I’m not even feeling sick. It is disappointing that someone could dream up such depravity. I have given God the responsibility for punishing those who are responsible.

“Please reject the rumor, my fans. We will remain in this place for a long time if Jesus delays.
