When she was younger, she claimed that several men had approached her, but she had turned them down because getting married would mean she would have other duties that would prohibit her from caring for her siblings.
When asked if she would still get married, she responded that she would if she found the right person because she had kept her promise to see that her siblings finished school before getting hitched.
She said;
“Yes, I did what I had to do, if I would see a husband, I would agree and get married. I sacrificed my life for my siblings so that they would study, and now they graduated, I’m now ready to get married.”
She added that she decided to avoid getting pregnant and taking on the obligations of a single mother because she does not want to do so.
Alfonsin spent her early years making sure that her main duty was to care for her siblings. She even went so far as to avoid marriage in order to avoid having any other duties save caring for her siblings. How lovely!
