A young Nigerian woman’s post on TikTok about her mother has received a lot of feedback on social media.
The youngster posted a picture of a woman and stated that she did not know how to express her sorrow at having the woman as her mother to the woman in the picture.
Some Nigerians rallied to her cause, and many others criticized her for referring to her mother in that way.

On TikTok, a Nigerian woman by the name of Okoli Chinonye stirred up controversy with a post about her mother. Chinonye published a photo of the mother she was talking to and expressed sadness over having her as her mother.
The wording in her clip reads:
"How do I tell this woman that I regret having her as a mum?"
Her viral post elicited conflicting responses. She received a lot of backlash for referring to her mother in that way. Several praised her for being courageous and truthful.
