Prior to their Super Sunday trip to Premier League leaders Arsenal, Jurgen Klopp feels that Mohamed Salah and Liverpool are close to regaining their best form.
Despite having a game in hand over the Gunners, Liverpool has had a rough start to the season, winning just twice in the league and trailing Mikel Arteta’s club by a massive 11 points.
Salah, who was the joint-top scorer in the Premier League last season, has scored just two goals in the league this year, but Klopp believes the Egyptian forward may be regaining his best form.

Klopp stated, “With Mo, I hope it’s like us, we’re on the verge of exploding.” “His goal involvement rates are strong even when his goal scoring numbers aren’t outrageous.
“His departure was nice. Nobody can handle the [Erling] Haaland problem; what he is doing is insane. We shouldn’t compare anyone to that since they are an amazing player on an exceptional squad.
“Mo has a strong desire to score goals. Call him in 20 years and nothing will have changed.”
With only one loss all season, Arsenal is in top form and has a one-point lead over the league leaders, Man City, according to Klopp. The matchup is set to take place on Sunday in the capital.
When he initially arrived, “I suppose City was always there with Manuel Pellegrini and Arsenal was always there,” he remarked. “Their soccer is now more proficient, swift, and intense.
“If you are a top manager, you will likely be here in about a year. All-star managers make it more challenging.
“Arsenal supporters must be pleased with the circumstances in which they currently find themselves.
Perhaps there are parallels to my time as manager at Liverpool. A significant opponent in games we’ve played against them. They are now prepared for the following stage.”
Regarding his own underperforming squad, Klopp rejected claims that Liverpool is now experiencing problems as a result of having been coached by the German for seven years.
After seven years as manager at Mainz and Borussia Dortmund, Klopp resigned both positions and joined Liverpool in 2015.
He dismisses the analogy, though.
For seven years, “I had no plans,” he admitted. “I believe that during the first press conference, I mentioned four years. I was relieved to make it through the press conference that day!
Before I agreed to a new contract, I ought to have done that. 7-year itch? The club in Mainz required a change and a new beginning.
“I visited Dortmund and had no problems. Players were simply acquired by different teams throughout the course of seven years. Constantly taking two steps back was really demanding and draining.
And I decided to try going on vacation, but that only lasted for four months!
“Our current situation is challenging, but it has nothing to do with seven years. Does it appear like we’ll win the championship? Not likely, but not impossible either.”
