Domestic violence is becoming pervasive. News regarding the well-known musician Osinachi and Bimbo, the famous IVD wife, have recently surfaced. The unpleasant issue is that many people are still going through this and are unwilling to get help or end their violent marriage.
The narrative of what is happening in her home was shared on Twitter by a user going by the handle Princess Effect.
She claimed that the abuse and violence taking place in her home has made her bored of staying there.

“I have to speak up before my mum ends up like Osinachi, I can’t let my mum die at her age”
“I’m scared and trembling as I write this, but I can’t let that fear keep me from speaking up. I hid my problem so the world won’t know because my father is the only one I have who sponsors I and my siblings to school. I’m scared of loosing this things. My mum also takes all these pain because of the money. She wants us to become someone big in life and that includes schooling. My mum gets treated like trash because of a man who doesn’t love her but ended up getting married to her”
She added that a man she refers to as her husband nearly killed her mother on Monday between 9 and 11 o’clock at night. She started recording some, but when her father found it, he spanked her.
“My mum has problems with her heart too, I don’t know if it is kidney or heart but my dad never for once took her to the hospital. Her legs and hands gets swollen from time to time”.
She posted some videos of her father shouting at her mother while beating her. No woman should accept being abused in any form
