Nollywood actor Olaiya Igwe has explained why he went nude to support Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s presidential bid.
Remember that the veteran made waves last week when a video of him praying for the success of BAT while he was naked on the beach appeared online.
He disclosed that he received a divine instruction to do it in an interview with TVC’s “Your View” host, Morayo Brown.

He claimed that while he was sleeping, a voice prompted him to go naked and pray for Asiwaju as a way of demonstrating his love for the man.
“I was asked to stand up and do it spiritually. I have a gift of revelation by Almighty God.
Sometimes I see what God plans for me ahead before it happens.
I was sleeping that day and a voice came to me and said, “Please stand up! You said you love Asiwaju and he has been assisting you and I said yes.
The voice told me to stand up and go do it”, he said.
Olaiya on why he went naked to pray for BAT
Recall that Olaiya had earlier defended his actions with an excuse that, Tinubu’s wife helped him during his trying times.
In a video uploaded by Punch, the actor could be seen in a phone conversation, where he addressed the controversial video.
According to him, Tinubu’s wife, Remi Tinubu took care of him when he was ill. and even offered to fly him out of the country for treatment.
“The time I was sick, Remi called Ajala Jalingo to take me to Ikeja Teaching Hospital that they should take care of me and on the third day, she called and ask me if I have American visa and if I don’t have visa, they should quickly arrange it for me. So her husband will now come out for a position and I won’t support?”.
