Mercy Aigbe, an award-winning Nollywood actress, and her husband, Kazim Adeoti, have addressed marital concerns.
Mercy Aigbe made headlines and sparked a social media craze on January 23rd when she named Kazim Adeoti, a marketer and co-founder of Ibaka TV, as ‘D Owner.’
Because Kazim is legally married to US-based businesswoman Funsho Adeoti, who has four children for him, there has been a lot of hostility surrounding their marriage.

Mercy Aigbe denied being married to her friend’s man or her husband’s pal in an interview with TVC.
She clarified that her new spouse and Lanre Gentry, her ex-husband, were never friends.
Mercy Aigbe and Kazim Adeoti spoke with Media Room Hub magazine about their marriage and cleared up some remaining questions.
Opening up more on her marriage with Media Room Hub magazine, Mercy Aigbe and Kazim Adeoti set the records straight on some lingering issues surrounding their highly publicized marriage.
Question : Tell us, how were you able to commit her to accept your proposal after you were aware of her last break with the former husband and what did you see in her that made you decided to spend the rest of your life with her?
Kazim : Mercy has been a business partner and i have always seen something special in her. The first thing that got me attracted to her is her openness and truthfulness. I gave Mercy money to shoot a movie and she returned the balance back which is something rare.
Question : Was there ever a point where you and Mercy’s ex husband were friends?
Kazim : We were never friends though I have met him couple of times. He is older than me so I don’t see the connect. He only attended my 40th birthday because Mercy was invited.
Question : Were you ever a friend to your husband’s first wife before you both got married?
Mercy : No, never. I was never friends with his first wife. We just met an his party and took photo.
Question : There is a story out there that Mercy snatched you from your wife, what do you make of that?
Kazim : It’s not true, there’s nothing like snatching, I am a full grown man
Question : There is a rumour that you are separated from your wife, is that true?
Kazim : My first marriage is intact. My business is here in Nigeria. If people are saying I am separated, its because my family isn’t here with me in Nigeria but we are good though there was issue but everything is back to normal.
I am Muslim and my religion permits me to marry more than one wife.
Now I am married to two beautiful women.
He added, “Well my family is in the USA and I shuttle between the US and Nigeria.
Mercy Aigbe also had something to say about getting married to Kazim.
She disclosed that she turned down his request at first because she was scared of entering another marriage following her messy divorce.
“After my bad marriage, I made up my mind that I wouldn’t hook up with anyone. I was going to focus on my career and kids. And then this good looking man came into my life.
When I met him, I felt the connection, chemistry, companionship. Anytime I am with him, I don’t want to leave.
When he asked me to marry him, I wanted to run away because I thought marriage isn’t my things as I am very emotional and I didn’t want to go through it again”.
