Luke Shaw is set to be out for an extended period of time after suffering a muscle injury, in a huge blow to Manchester United.

Shaw has sustained a muscle injury, the club have announced, and United are now assessing the extent of his issue. They claim that “the England left-back is expected to be out of action for a number of weeks.

Under the guidance of manager Erik ten Hag, Shaw has evolved into a pivotal asset, participating in 27 matches in the previous season and securing a spot in the starting lineup for United’s initial two games this season. Meanwhile, the substitute choice, Tyrell Malacia, is also sidelined due to injury. Whether the club will seek additional support prior to the closure of the transfer window is yet to be determined.
