Many people are still shocked that Fathia Balogun and Dayo Amusa, who were once closest friends and inseparable, have broken up.
Because of their friendship, the two have started a social media fight. They used to be a source of envy for colleagues in the Nigerian film industry.
Fathia Balogun triggered the whole social media storm when she posted on Instagram on Wednesday about buddies that backstab and laugh at one other. She had written;

“Friendship is lovely, but if it isn’t getting the job done or propelling you forward, it’s time to check things out.” Have a wonderful day, my friends! “I adore you all,” she says.
This evidently did not sit well with her coworker, Dayo Amusa, who promptly chastised her in the comments area. Dayo has written:
“Believe what you preach.”
This single remark elicited a barrage of responses from their admirers, who quickly took over the comment area. While some defended Dayo, others criticized her actions, citing a recent post by Wunmi Toriola, a Nollywood actress, in which she slammed Toyin Abraham. Dayo had written at the time on the industry’s insubordination and why rising artists should be monitored.
According to sources close to the couple, there is a misconception about their personal interactions with specific men.
“They’re all women, and they’re all in the same social circles.” Though no one has mentioned it to their coworkers, it is clear that it has something to do with their intimate relationships with males.
