A domestic employee has yet to be apprehended for the savage murder of Maria Oredola Igbinedion, mother of two-time former governor of Edo State, Lucky Nosakhare Igbinedion.
Lucky Nosakhare Igbinedion was allegedly murdered by the House Maid while working as one of her live-in maids.
The 85-year-old died in her house in the Ugbo region of Benin, Edo State, on Thursday, December 2.
She was strangled to death by the maid, who then looted her home for jewelry and money before vanishing into thin air, according to information gathered.

Maria had been confined to a wheel chair since she was 80 years old, unable to move. The deadly thief, who is said to be from Cross River State, is being tracked down and apprehended.
Security forces have been activated to fish her out and the late woman’s children have vowed to stop at nothing to track her, even if it means going to her village to arrest her family members.
Lucky Nosakhare had confirmed the passing of his mom in a statement on Friday, December 3, stating that she is survived by children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren.
“With gratitude to God for a fruitful and eventful life, we announce the transition to glory of our mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Madam Maria Oredola Igbinedion who joined the Saints in the early hours of December 2, 2021, at the age of 85. She is survived by children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren,” The statement reads.
