Adebowale “Debo” Adedayo, widely known as Mr. Macaroni, a popular comedian, skitmaker, and media personality, recently opened up about his personal battle with depression during the late years of 2017 and 2018.

Taking to his Twitter account, Mr. Macaroni candidly shared some of the challenges he faced in life. He revealed that he experienced depression after being expelled from his fourth university in late 2017/2018. During that period, he found solace in watching movies, which provided him with some comfort.

Mr. Macaroni further disclosed that from 2018 to 2019, he endured another phase of depression while persistently pursuing acting opportunities in Nollywood. He had been involved in the acting industry sporadically since 2011, going from one audition to another. Unfortunately, he encountered various scams and even had to pay to act. However, in late 2019, when depression was taking its toll on him, he started creating content and sharing it online. It was during this challenging time that he received a breakthrough when God answered his prayers.
