Olumide Bakare was a well-known Nigerian actor and producer who was born in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State, on November 26, 1953.

According to Wikipedia, he began his acting career as Chief Koko with the Nigerian Television Authority in the sitcom Koko Close (NTA).

Olumide Bakare passed away on April 22, 2017 in Ibadan, Oyo State Capital, from a heart and lung ailment, as well as a cardiac arrest.

It was established that Olumide had a successful surgery, and following the procedure, he spoke to people and said he was OK. He died two hours later, unfortunately.

After giving his life to Christ in 1998, he became a devout Christian. He was continually playing the characters of Chief (a wealthy man) and Sugar daddy in Nollywood throughout his career.

Edun ara, Maami, Last flight to Abuja, Kofo the First Lady, Ise Onise, and many others were among his award-winning film ventures.
