After Jorginho gave Chelsea the lead late in the game, Casemiro’s last-second header cost them all three points.

After the game, Potter responded to a question about his team’s performance by telling BBC 5 live: “We obviously could have played better, but the outcome is a fair reflection of the game, Kepa was great, and he helped us a lot.”

Chelsea’s subsequent Champions League match will now take place on Tuesday against RB Salzburg.

Recall that before Saturday’s crucial match against Manchester United, Chelsea manager Graham Potter released a statement. In a London derby game Friday night, Brentford held Chelsea to a scoreless draw, giving the manager his second point as Chelsea’s manager.

In his first seven games in charge of Chelsea, Potter has five victories and one loss, which is strong form going into the match against Manchester United. Since the Brazilian was not used as a substitute yesterday, the Chelsea manager anticipates that Thiago Silva will be able to start the match.
