Former Super Eagles midfielder, Mikel Obi, has described his former Chelsea teammate, Eden Hazard, as the least hardworking footballer he has ever encountered.
Hazard, who recently retired from international football, and Mikel played together for five years, during which they secured the Premier League title, the UEFA Europa League, and the FA Cup.
However, during an interview with the Obi One Podcast, the Nigerian international shared his perspective on Hazard’s playing style:

“He is the least industrious footballer I’ve ever seen in my life.
“But then, when the weekend comes, he wins the Man of the Match award and suddenly he shows everyone.
“It’s like he’s saying, ‘Come on, guys, you see?'”
Eden Michael Walter Hazard, born on January 7, 1991, in La Louvière and raised in Braine-le-Comte, comes from a family with a strong football background. His mother, Carine, and father, Thierry, both had careers in football, with his father mainly playing as a defensive midfielder for La Louvière in the Belgian Second Division. His mother was a striker in the Belgian Women’s First Division, retiring when she was three months pregnant with Eden. Following their football careers, both parents became sports teachers. Thierry retired from his teaching position in 2009 to dedicate more time to his children.
