A 27-year-old suspect has been detained by the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps’ Gombe State Command for reportedly setting four houses on fire.
According to information obtained by our correspondent, the event took place on Wednesday in the state’s Balanga Local Government Area’s Dele Jesu neighborhood.
The NSCDC State Commandant, Muhammad Muazu, confirmed the occurrence to our correspondent. He stated that the suspect was apprehended by the corps after they received a tip about it.

He added that Segun Bulus was the name of the suspect and that the act had left families without a place to live.
According to Muazu, there was a minor miscommunication between the perpetrator and the victim’s younger brother, which led to the act.
The inquiry is still ongoing, but the suspect was captured and taken to the Cham office.
“The suspect will be brought before the court to face the full force of the law as soon as the investigation is concluded.”
