A housewife named Biba Mohammed has been paraded by the Gombe State Police command in connection with her husband’s murder in the city’s Barunde neighborhood.
The state public relations officer, ASP Mahid Abubakar, paraded Mohammed on Friday and said the police had received a distress call from a local who had reported a possible killing that had occurred in his neighborhood.
Detectives from the Lowcost Division were called to the location, according to Abubakar, and when they arrived they found Mohammed Maliki laying there defenseless. He also said that the housewife had admitted to killing her husband when questioned.

According to the PPRO, “The person was declared dead by a physician after being sent to a specialized hospital right away.
“Biba Mohammed, the deceased’s wife, was put into custody after confessing to the crime, following a preliminary investigation.
She acknowledged hitting his head with a pestle in her statement. At SCID, the case is presently being investigated. When the investigation is over, it will be brought before the court for prosecution.
