Mohbad’s tragic passing occurred on Tuesday, September 12, at the age of 27. He is survived by his parents, his only son Liam, and his wife.

The death of the ‘Ko Po Ke’ crooner has sparked national outrage, with Nigerians continuing to call for justice for the late singer, particularly in light of a surge in videos emerging after his demise.

Mohbad was reported to have experienced assault, bullying, intimidation, and lived in a state of fear after his departure from his former record label, Marlian Records, owned by the controversial Nigerian rapper Afeez Fashola, widely known as Naira Marley. These allegations have contributed to the ongoing calls for justice and investigations surrounding his death.

The Lagos Police Command has initiated an investigation into the death of the late singer, and it’s reported that operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) are expected to join the probe soon, as confirmed by Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

As of the latest report, the nurse who attended to the late singer has been arrested. Nationwide protests are taking place across Nigeria as the public continues to demand justice in response to the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death.
