Michel Ballack, a legend in Germany, does not consider his nation’s national team to be one of the favorites to win the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Four times at the FIFA World Cup finals, Nationalelf [National Eleven] came in second place: in England in 1966, Spain in 1982, Mexico in 1986, and Korea/Japan in 2002.

Ballack mentioned that Germany’s performance in recent tournaments hasn’t been fantastic when speaking on Magenta television, as reported by Sport 1.

Ballack, who scored 42 goals in 98 games for Germany, said that no one was yet discussing the winner. “There may be other nations that were mentioned earlier,” Ballack added.

“Recent tournaments haven’t historically been terrific, so take it slow.”

At the FIFA World Cup 2022, Germany is in Group E together with Spain, Japan, and Costa Rica.
