Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, expressed his condolences on Wednesday for the passing of Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, the Governor of Ondo State, describing him as a politician with remarkable leadership abilities.
At the age of 67, Akeredolu passed away following a protracted illness.
In a tribute made public in Abuja by his Chief Press Secretary, Edwin Olofu, the APC national chairman said that the passing of the former National President of the Nigerian Bar Association was a big loss for all Nigerians, not only the Ondo people.

Ganduje praised the governor’s bravery as a skilled attorney and progressor, but he also noted that he left a noteworthy legacy of commitment to the advancement and prosperity of Ondo State.
“We remember Governor Akeredolu’s unwavering commitment to the principles of democracy, his determination to make a lasting impact on the lives of the people he served, and his undying love for Ondo State and its citizens as we reflect on his remarkable contributions to public service,” the governor stated.
Governor Akeredolu demonstrated remarkable leadership abilities during his term by promoting policies that raised the living standards of Ondo State’s citizens, implementing vital infrastructural projects, and encouraging economic growth. His commitment to maintaining harmony, peace, and stability within the state will always be cherished.
“With Governor Akeredolu’s departure, our political landscape is significantly empty. All those who had the honor of working with him, collaborating on initiatives, or simply witnessing his extraordinary leadership personally will feel his absence.
“I offer our sincere sympathies to the family, the administration, the people of Ondo State, friends, and loved ones of Governor Akeredolu on behalf of the members of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
