Galatasaray have intensified their search for a new striker, reportedly submitting an initial bid to Lyon.
The Turkish champions are targeting Georgian forward Georges Mikautadze, who joined Lyon this summer following a standout Euro 2024 campaign, where he scored three goals in four games. His impressive performance earned him an โฌ18.5 million move from Metz.
Galatasaray’s Opening Offer
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Galatasaray have made a โฌ17 million bid plus add-ons for Mikautadze. However, Lyon reportedly value the 24-year-old higher than the initial offer and are holding out for more.

As previously reported by Pulse Sports, Galatasaray initially aimed to secure Victor Osimhen permanently but were deterred by Napoliโs firm stance on his โฌ75 million release clause. Acknowledging this hurdle, the club has redirected its resources towards Mikautadze.
Signing the Georgian striker in January would help fill the void left by Mauro Icardi, who has been sidelined for the remainder of the season due to an ACL injury. This move is seen as a crucial step in reinforcing Okan Buruk’s squad.
