Governor Babagana Umara Zulum of Borno State has undertaken a noteworthy endeavor to alleviate the challenges arising from the withdrawal of fuel subsidies. With the aim of reducing the exorbitant transportation costs faced by farmers, he has provided 80 buses and pick-up vans to assist them in reaching their farmlands. Out of this total, 50 luxurious buses will be allocated from the fleet of the Borno Express Corporation, while the state government will provide the remaining 30 pick-up vans. This initiative holds particular significance during the rainy season when the number of farmers can reach up to 100,000.
