Four of Cristiano Ronaldo’s former Manchester United teammates have reportedly been invited to a reunion with him in Saudi Arabia.

In November, United terminated the Portuguese star’s contract after he attacked the group and manager Erik ten Hag in an interview with Piers Morgan.

Ronaldo ultimately decided on a £175 million-per-year deal with Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia, but he was unable to say goodbye to his former United colleagues because his departure was scheduled for the World Cup in Qatar.

According to The Sun, Ronaldo has been in touch with four of his old teammates—Bruno Fernandes, Casemiro, Raphael Varane, and Harry Maguire—to arrange a get-together this summer.

They were allegedly invited to Ronaldo’s recently built villa outside of Portugal and were advised to watch the Portugal international play for Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia.

‘There are still a few youngsters here who have nothing but respect for Ronny and were sad how it all ended since they never got to say a proper goodbye,’ a source at United reportedly told the publication.

He recently abandoned the WhatsApp groups for players, but he pledged to stay in touch with a select few of them and invited them to visit him in Saudi Arabia and at his new home in Lisbon to watch him play.

“Friends” include Harry Maguire, Bruno Fernandes, Casemiro, and Raphael Varane.

Rudi Garcia, the head coach of Al-Nassr, has said that Ronaldo will continue to play for a European team and not conclude his career there.

Cristiano Ronaldo is a good addition because he spreads out defenders, according to Garcia. He is one of the world’s top players. He will go back to Europe and not complete his career at Al-Nassr.
