In the 2023/24 season, Dest opted for another loan and played a significant role for PSV Eindhoven in the Eredivisie.

Despite having a contract with Barcelona until 2025, Dest expresses skepticism about returning. In response to inquiries about the possibility, he stated via Voetbal International, “Only if the situation changes there. Xavi is still there now. So at the moment, no, that will be too difficult.”

The USMNT right-back may see his preference realized if Barcelona continues to struggle, as Xavi is reportedly under scrutiny following a disappointing series of results.
