Abisodun Ilori, a 54-year-old mechanic from Lagos State’s Isheri-Oshun neighborhood, has been charged with auto theft.

According to information obtained by PUNCH Online, an area resident filed complaints about Ilori’s missing Nissan Xterra, which led to Ilori’s arrest.

It was learned that the car’s owner had left for church on Sunday when Ilori came over to his house, took the car keys from his daughter, and drove it off to somewhere.

Our correspondent was informed on Monday by a law enforcement source that “the DPO immediately detailed surveillance and anti-car theft team to the scene.”After obtaining information, the suspect was apprehended and directed the authorities to Charles Nnoli, 47, the recipient of the car.

While confirming the incident, Benjamin Hundeyin, the public relations officer for the state police, also stated that the receiver was taken into custody and the vehicle was found.

He also mentioned that the incident was still being looked into.
