One of her children, Chioma, described their plight to our correspondent, saying that her mother had left the hotel in accordance with the CCTV footage that was provided to them, gone missing before she could go home, and gone for the interview in the Government Reserved Area of Port Harcourt.

She mentioned that when her mother began screaming as though someone was attacking her, she was speaking on the phone with a friend.
“A female friend of hers who is also a chef was the last to speak to her,” Chioma clarified. Her friend informed us that while they were chatting on the phone, her mother mentioned that she was getting close to several odd-looking males wearing police uniforms when she began to yell, “You people should leave me alone.” How did I treat all of you?And that ended her last communication with her.
She bemoaned even more that they had not received a call for a ransom, leaving her mother’s disappearance a mystery to them all.
“No, we haven’t been contacted for a ransom,” she clarified. My brother called the Port Harcourt police and reported the incident.
The police insisted on being on the case and that they were unable to provide any information because the matter was still being investigated.
Speaking of their attempts, she mentioned that they returned to the hotel to review the CCTV tape to make sure their mother, who had gone missing, was present.
She went on, “My brother returned to the hotel with the police to question them, and they gave their CCTV footage, which showed her leaving the hotel grounds at nine o’clock at night.
“We even went to the MTN office to follow her number, and they ended up following her last in the Pipeline area, which is close to Rumukoro.”
But as they were beginning to feel hopeless, Chioma made a request to the Rivers State Government to assist them in looking into the matter.
