On Thursday, Dr. Betta Edu, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, officially launched the development of cluster communities for internally displaced people in Benue State.
The minister began a two-day tour to the state on Wednesday.
The minister gave the state’s citizens assurances about President Bola Tinubu’s promise to relocate the displaced people while unveiling the cluster settlement’s building at Mbagwen in the Makurdi Local Government Area.

According to Edu, President Tinubu was worried about the situation of those who had been uprooted from their ancestral homes in order to be resettled.
“It’s time for Benue people to enjoy; they’ve cried for too long,” she declared. This is the start of the trek back home.
The first step in fulfilling President Tinubu’s pledge to collaborate with Governor Hyacinth Alia in bringing the people back home is being taken today.
The minister continued, lamenting the suffering of the populace, by saying, “Hope is here; you cannot reduce a nation’s food basket to starvation. You will take up your positions and feed the country. You’ll go back home in harmony.
