Diego Alonso, the manager of Uruguay, has nevertheless called the forward up for the forthcoming World Cup in Qatar despite this.

The Uruguayan was also called up for each of the previous four international breaks in January, March, June, and September, despite the fact that he didn’t play many minutes.
Given that the young player has already recorded three assists in seven appearances for the international team, Alonso’s choice seems to make some sense.
The attacker hasn’t exactly been idle because he recently had a lengthy loan period with Deportivo Alaves.
Pellistri joined the LaLiga team in January 2021 and stayed there until his summer return to Old Trafford.
During his stint at Alaves, the Uruguayan international made a total of 35 appearances.

Additionally, he will compete against Valencia’s Edinson Cavani, a former United teammate.
Despite his advanced age of 35 and impending departure from Nacional, Alonso also called up Luis Suarez, the superstar from Uruguay.
