Trevor Sinclair, a former England footballer, claims that black and brown people shouldn’t lament the demise of Queen Elizabeth.
The late Queen, the longest-reigning monarch in British history, Sinclair said, enabled bigotry to flourish during her reign.

Twitter – Trevor Sinclair, a former England player, has come under fire on social media after saying that “black and brown” people shouldn’t lament Queen Elizabeth’s departure because she enabled racism to “thrive” during her reign.
After the news of the Queen’s passing broke, athletes from all over the world paid respect to her.
Daily Mail reports that Sinclair, however, took a different stance and hit out at the British monarchy on Twitter.
He wrote:
“Racism was outlawed in England in the 60’s & it’s been allowed to thrive so why should black and brown mourn!!”
The former footballer has since deactivated his Twitter account.

He was a winger who most notably played for Queens Park Rangers, West Ham United, and Manchester City in the Premier League.
He retired in 2008 after playing for Cardiff City and Blackpool in the Football League.
