Former Chelsea defender Frank Lebouef has asserted that Jose Mourinho still harbors a significant coaching ambition in his career.
Mourinho parted ways with Roma on Tuesday amid a series of disappointing results. As Mourinho explores his next coaching opportunity, Lebouef reveals that the former Chelsea and Manchester United manager has a keen desire to coach the national team of his native Portugal.

In an interview with ESPNFC, Lebouef stated, “I remember interviewing Mr. Mourinho when he was at Madrid or Chelsea when he came over to Los Angeles. He admitted that the last thing he would love to do in his coaching career would be to get the Portuguese national team job. I think that’s going to be his goal.”
Acknowledging the current situation with the Portuguese national team under Roberto, Lebouef expressed confidence that Mourinho can exercise patience, observe the situation during the Euros, and potentially pursue the coaching role if the opportunity arises.
