During the recently concluded qualifiers, the Chelsea loanee secured his 14th goal in a commanding 5-0 victory over Azerbaijan on Sunday. Lukaku’s remarkable feat included a stunning four-goal performance within a 20-minute timeframe, spanning from the 17th to the 37th minutes of the match. This outstanding display brought his total goals for the 2024 Euro qualifying campaign to 14 in eight games for Belgium.

In accomplishing this, Lukaku surpassed the shared record previously held by Lewandowski and David Healy of Northern Ireland, who both scored 13 goals in the 2016 and 2008 qualifying campaigns, respectively. Additionally, he eclipsed Ronaldo’s tally of 10 goals, becoming the leading scorer in the 2024 Euro qualifiers.
