Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has acknowledged that he needs to start winning games to maintain the support of the club’s hierarchy and secure his position.

Following recent back-to-back defeats against Brighton and Liverpool, new CEO Omar Berrada publicly expressed his support for Ten Hag. These losses have left the Red Devils in 14th place, with a crucial match against Southampton coming up on Saturday.

Ten Hag is under increasing pressure just three games into the new season and cannot afford another loss. “In football, you have to win and deliver, that’s clear,” Ten Hag said. “It’s positive that the new leadership recognizes this and expresses it. We are working together to be more successful and have set higher targets than we’ve achieved so far.”
