Al Nassr striker Cristiano Ronaldo has criticized Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag for his comments about the team’s prospects in the Premier League and Champions League this season.

Ronaldo, who believes United “need to rebuild everything,” took issue with Ten Hag’s downplaying of the team’s chances for major trophies.

Speaking on the Rio Ferdinand Presents podcast, Ronaldo said, “In my opinion, Manchester United need a complete rebuild.”

He added criticism of Ten Hag’s approach: “The coach says they can’t compete for the League or Champions League. As Manchester United’s coach, you shouldn’t say you won’t fight for these titles. If Ten Hag listens to Ruud, it might help him, as Ruud knows the club well, and the club should heed the advice of those who have been there.”
