Despite being connected to both Chelsea and Liverpool, Moises Caicedo has denied all transfer rumors.

After joining Brighton in 2021, the Ecuadorian international’s stock has drastically risen, and after just 26 Premier League games for his current team, he is apparently showing up on Stamford Bridge and Anfield’s recruitment radars.

Chelsea is allegedly leading the race to sign him, although Brighton turned down their original bid of £55 million. Despite being aware of the suspicions he is arousing, Caicedo, 21, is eager to highlight that he is still fully committed to the team’s effort at the Amex Stadium.

When asked about his future plans, Caicedo informed the official Seagulls website: “I am focused on Brighton.

Every day that I play, I am present here. I’m not bothered by things outside, nor does it divert my attention from this because I’m only here.

“I manage [the rumor] well. You hear rumors here and there, but I try to keep my attention on the club where I am right now, the club that helped make it possible for me to perform there each week.

Brighton has been quick to point out that the initial £42 million ($52 million) asking price would only be enough to acquire the “laces” of a desirable asset since Caicedo is under contract with the club through the summer of 2025.

Caicedo has helped Brighton advance in 2022–23 despite losing manager Graham Potter to Chelsea early in the season.

The Premier League standings now have Roberto De Zerbi’s club in sixth place with a game in hand over most of the teams ahead of them.
