Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice has criticized the team for their carelessness following William Saliba’s red card in their 2-0 Premier League defeat to Bournemouth on Saturday.

Rice emphasized that Arsenal cannot afford to keep making costly mistakes. Speaking to reporters via ESPN, he said, “We’ve shot ourselves in the foot three times in eight games. We got away with it against Brighton at home and Manchester City away, but Bournemouth capitalized and made it 2-0.”

Despite praising his teammates’ efforts with 10 men, Rice pointed out the team’s naivety: “I’m proud of the fight, but we need to stop making errors. You want 11 players on the pitch for 90 minutes—that’s what wins football matches. We can’t make silly mistakes. You need your best players on the field at all times.”
