According to The Daily Mail, Laurent was fired during the international break. On Tuesday, he was only informed of his dismissal over a “brief zoom call.”
The news comes after Stamford Bridge’s medical director, Dr. Paco Biosca, announced his departure after serving there for 11 years.
According to The Athletic, Laurent was “shocked” to learn of his abrupt termination during the zoom conversation after learning that the new owners intend to hire someone of their choosing.
Laurent follows in the footsteps of recent departures like that of Thomas Tuchel, a former manager, Marina Granovskaia, Bruce Buck, and Petr Cech.
The players, especially those who have been with the club for a while, will feel Laurent’s departure just as deeply.
Recall that On January 31, 2022, Lampard assumed the position in place of the fired Rafael Benitez.
Iwobi started to play in more games at Goodison Park after his arrival.
Lampard said, as reported by Echo, โWhen I first got into the club and youโre trying to assess players really quickly, and Alex in training โ quiet lad, really decent lad, low maintenance โ I saw him in training and went โwow, this child can run.
